The Climate Cost Index (CCI) quantifies how climate change affects household costs across the United States. It combines 12 climate-linked cost components into a single composite score for each county.

Data Sources

All data sources are free and publicly available from U.S. federal agencies: NOAA, EPA, FEMA, USFS, USDM, EIA, CDC, BLS, and Census Bureau.

Coverage

CCI v1.0 scores 3,111 of 3,243 U.S. counties (95.9%).
